RESOLUTION GRANTING V.ARIANCE
.AFFECTING LOTS 19, 20 .AND 21,
IN BLOCK 2 OF THE VIRGINIA TRACT
RESUBDIVISION OF BLOCK E.
WHERE&S, A. E. Hoagland has made application to the Planning
Commission of the City of Bakersfield for a variance of the zoning
of a C-! (Retail Business) District to establish a setback variance
of 1~ feet~ thereby permitting the erection of a building within
10 feet of the present property line in Lots 19, 20 and 21, in
Block 2 of the Virginia Tract Resubdivision of Block E, as shown
on the "l~ap of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County," recorded
January 2~, 1923, in iviap Book 3, page 70, records of the County
Recorder of Kern County, California, and
V~KERE&S, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield
has held a public hearing on said application after notice as pre-
scribed by Zoning Ordinance No. ~01, New Series of the C.ity of Bakers-
field, and, after due consideration, has recommended that such
variance be granted.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLV~,~D BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
B.~ZERSFIELD, that said application of A. E. Hoagland for a variance
be granted, subject to the conditions contained in the Certificate
of Findings of Fact of the Planning Commission dated April 11, 1949,
on file in the office of the City Clerk.

I HERBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meet-
ing thereof held on the llth day of .&pril, 1949, by the following vote:
