,A RESOLUTION APPROVING PROPOSED AN~TEXA-
TION OF Ii~tAj3ITED TERRITORY.
WEERE&S,~ certain persons are proposing to circulate petitions
requesting the annexation of certain inhabited territory to the
City of Bakersfield, said territory being kuovTn as the Sunset-
Mayflov~er District, v~hich district is more particularly described
in the report of the Planning Commission to the City Council dated
April ll, 1949~ on file in the office of the City Clerk, and
WHERE&S, the Planning Commission of the City of Bakersfield,
after investigation, has recommended that the con~mencement of pro-
ceedings to annex said territory to the City of Bakersfield, be
approved.
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED~ that the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield hereby consents to the commencement of proceedings
and the circulation of petitions for the annexation of the herein-
before described territory to the City of Bakersfield.

I EREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at a regular meet-'
ing thereof held on the llth day of April, 1949, by the follov~ing vote:
