The Council of the City of Bakersfie!d~ California~ pursuant
to the provisions of the "Street Vacation &ct of !941~~ being 0ivi-
sion 9 of the Streets and Highways Code of the State of Ca!ifornia~
does hereby r~solve as follows:
1. That the public interest and convenience require~ and it
is hereby ordered that:
That certain parcel of land now used for alley purposes
that was deeded to the City of Bakersfield by the I(ern
County Land' Company and recorded October 3~ 1930 in
Book 3F3~ at page 382~ of the Official Records of. Xern
County~ California~ and described as follows~
Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 6~ Block 264
on the northerly boundary of l~th Street in the City of.
Bakersfield; thence 20 feet easterly along the northerly
boundary of said !~th Street to a point~ thence 3Z.5~
feet northerly and ~ara!lel to the west boundary of said
Lot 6 to a ~oint; t[aence 103.1 feet at an angle to the
right of 34 8~' to a ~oint~ thence 2~o3% feet westerly
and parallel to the no-~ther!y boundary of said !~th Street
to a point; thence 9~.4 feet to an angle to the left of
%~ 13' to a point in the west boundary. of said Lot 6;
thence ~3.8Z feet southerly along the west boundary of
said Lot 6 to the point of beginning.
And also that certain remaining 20 feet wide central por-
tion of the original 33 feet wide alley in Block No. 268
as said Block is shown on the ).~tap of the City of Bakers-
field_.recorded in Plap Book 1~ pages !3-!4~ November
!898~ that lies between the easterly terminus of that
portion of said a!ley~ vacated under Resolution of Inten-
tion No. 637 dated December 1~ 1941 ~ and a line 30 feet
distan.t westerly from and parallel with 'the northerly.
extension of the easterly line of Lot 8 in said Block;
be and the same is hereby closed up~ vacated and abandoned for public
street purposes~ subject to and governed by the reservations and ex-
'ceptions contained in and contemplated by Resolution of Intention
No. 6Z2~ adopted by the Council of said City on the 2!st day of
February~ 1949. Reference to said Resolution of Intention is hereby
made for further particulars.
2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this
Resolution~ and shall cause a certified copy of this Resolution~
attested by the Clerk under the seal of the City~ to be recorded
in the office of the County Recorder of the County of Kern~ Cali-
fornia.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfie!d~ at a regu-
lar meeting thereof held on the 14th day of March~ 19~9~ by the
foilowing vote:
