WHERE&S, C.&PTAiN LEWIS W..ALLEN on October 19, 1947
retired, from active service on the Fire Department of .the
City of Bakersfield; and
WHERE&S, said LE~Y~IS W. ALLEN SERVED the City of
Bakersfield as a member of the Fire Department for a period
of 30 years, 2 months, and 18 days, from the 1st day of
August, 1917;
NOW, TH.~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that this Council
express its appreciation for the long and faithful service
of ~tR..ALLEN, and its good wishes to him as he leaves the
service of the City.

I HEREBY CERTIFY, that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
