WHEREAS, the State PersOnnel Board haS adequate
facilities for the preparation, c0~stru~tion and r~ting of ~Civil
Service Examinations for the officers and employees of ·the'City
of Bakersfield who' are required to take such examinations by
virtue of the provisions of the City Charter·, and
WHEREAS, said State Personnel Board has tendered to

the City of Bakersfield a contract providing f0~ .the performance ..
of the aforementioned services by:the State Personnel B0ardat
cost to the Board'. ~.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY. THE COUNCILOF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows: ~
That the aforementioned'cOntract is hereby appr0ved and
the Mayor is hereby authorizedto"execute t'he bame' for and on behalf
of the City of Bakersfield.
