V,{qESEAS, the immediate preservation of the public
peace, property, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the
City of Bal~ersfie].d require the passage of an emergency re-
solution establishin~ and determining correction factor to
determine true value within the City of Bakersfield,
AND, VfHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
desires to use the tsxation assessment rolls of said city as
a 'basis 'for corn.During the true value Of lands defined in the
"Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and ~/~ajority
Protest Act of 1931," as sinended,
NOW, T~.EREFCRE, BE IT RESOLVED BY T.~E CCU~CIL OF
THE CITY OF BAK~SFI~LD, as follows:
That the total assessed valuation for municipal pur-
poses of all taxable lands in the municiDality as the same is
shown on the last equalized taxation assessment roll of said
municipality is $14, 543, Y15 . 00.
And that the correspondin~ total assessed valuation
of said lands in said municiDality for county purposes as the
same is shown on the last e~ualized taxation assessment roll
of the County of Kern, in which said City of Bakersfield is
situated, is $10,56S,870.'O0.
That 1.3~ shall represent said correction factor
and that said 1.3g is hereby determined to be the correction
factor in accordance ~ith the orovisions of said Act.
This resolution sha] 1 take effect from and after its
passa~-,~e and spotoval.
I HE]-]EBY CERTIFY that the foreFSing Emergency Reso-
lution was passed and adopted by the Co~mcil of the City of
Bakersfield on'the ~?~z~/day of ~ , 1946,
by the following vote:
