~IEREAS, the Bakersfield and Kern Electric Rs~il~ay Company
hs.s submitted to the City Council of the City of Bakersfield its proposal
for the inauo~uration as an integral ps. rt of and coordinated t~ith its present
system of motor bus lines, a ne~.~ motor bus line to be hovm as Casa Loma -
South Union Avenue bus line, an extension of its existing Mayflower .bus line,
an extension of its existing Oildale - South Chester Avenue bus line s~nd an
extension of and re-routing of its present existi~ Oildale via
Avenue - Sunset Park bus line, all as more particularly described in a Map
of Proposed Changes submitted to the said City Council, and
~I~EREAS, it appears that said changes and extensions are
necessary and appropriate for the public convenience of the people of the City
of B~{ersfield s~d territory contiguous thereto;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Bakersfield is in favor of and approves the said addition and ex-
tensions to the said bus system of the Bakersfield and Kern Electric Railv~y
Company and does hereby recommend favorable action thereon by the Rsilrozd
Commission of the Stgte of California
