WHEREAS, the Bakersfield and Kern Electric Railway
Company has submitted to the City 0ouncil of the City of Bakers-
field its proposal for the inauguration as an integral part of
and coordinated with its present system of motor bus lines, a
new motor bus line to be known as Virginia-Descanso-East Niles
Bus Line, as more particularly described in a Map of Proposed
Change submitted to the said City Council, and
W~EREAS, it appears that said change is necessary
appropriate for the public convenience of the people of the City
of Bakersfield and territory contiguous thereto;
I{0W, ~KEREi~0RE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Bakersfield is in favor of and approves the said
addition to the said bus system of the Bakersfield and Kern
Electric l~ailway Company and does hereby recommend favorable action
thereon by the Pailroad Commission of the State of California.

I EEREBY CERTI~f that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof held on the t~day of June, 1946, by the following
