HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 10-46RESOLUTION NO o 7 ! 10-46 IN THE }:T&TTER OF THE .ACQUISITION OF LANDS AROUND THE KERN COUNTY UNION HIGH SCHOOL FOR STREET PURPOSES o BE IT RESOLVED BY TITS COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAIGRSFIELD that certain improvements are proposed to be done and made within the boundaries of the proposed assessment district hereinafter described. In connection therewith the Council hereby finds and determines, to wit: 1. That the nature, location an~extent of the proposed improvement consists of the acquisition of all land necessary for the opening~of a street 94 feet in width and 47 feet on either side of the following described line: Beginning at the intersection of the center line of A Street with the Northerly line of California Avenue as said streets are shown and delineated on Map of the City of Bakersfield recorded November 25 8 ' , 1 98, mn Book 1 of Maps at page 13, Records of Kern County, California, said point being the beginning of a circular curve. having a radius of 363.189 feet (the bearing of . a radial line drawn through said last mentioned points. beinE South 89° 57' 40" West); thence Northeasterly along said'circular curve having a radius of 363.18E feet~ conCaved to the Southeast, a distance of 370. 49 feet to a point (the bearing of a radial line drawn through said point being North 3l° 32' Oy" West); thence ~ ~5" East a distance of 362~476 feet to a North p8o 27' point, the beginning of a circular curve having a radius of lO00 feet (the bearing of a radial line drawn through said last mentioned point being South 3lo 32' 05" East)~ thence Northeasterly along said circular curve, having a radius of lO00 feet, concaved to the Southeast a distance of ~50.215 feet to a point (the bearing of a radial line. drawn through said point being South 00° 00' 3~" East); thence North 89° 59' 2~" East a distance of 227.~99 feet to a point the beginning of a circular curve having a radius of 500 feet (the bearing of a radial line drawn through said last mentioned point being North O0° 00' 35" West); thence Northeasterly along said circular curve having a radius of 500 feet, concaved to the Northwest a distance of 667.0~3 feet to the point of termination (the bearing of a radial line drawn through said last mentioned point, being South 76° 26' 54" East)°. as shown by the Plat of such improvement filed in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield on May 27, 1946, and open to inspection. 2. ·The boundaries of the district or-lAnds proposed to be specially assessed'to pay the costs and expenses of such proposed acquisition are generally defined as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the Northerly line of California Avenue with the Westerly line of G Street as said streets are shown and delineated on Nap of the 8 · City of Bakersfield recorded November 2~, i 98, In Bookl of Naps at page 13, Records of Kern County~ California; thence Northerly along the Westerly line of G Street to the Northerly line of l~th Street;-thence Westerly along the Northerly line of l~th Street to the Northerly extension of the Westerly line of Block 3~8~ thence Southerly along the Northerly extension of the Westerly line of Block 3~8 and the Westerly line of Block 3~8 to a point 132 feet northerly from the Northerly line of 14th Street; thence Westerly and parallel with the Northerly line of 14th Street to the extension Northerly of the Easterly line of B Street; thence Southerly along the said Northerly extension of the Easterly line of B Street to the extenSiOn Westerly of the Southerly line of 14th Street; thence Westerly along the said extension Westerly of the Southerly line of 14th Street to a point 82 feet Westerly of the Northerly extension of the. Westerly line of A Street; thence Southerly and parallel with the extension Northerly of the~Westerly line of A Street to the Northerly line of California Avenue; thence Easterly along the Northerly line of California Avenue to the point of beginning; as shown by the Plat of such district on file in the office of the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield, on viich the territory to be included in the assessment district is indicated by a boundary line. I3. That no amount or percentage is proposed to be paid toward the cost of such improvement or acquisition from any source other than special assessments upon benefited propertyo. 4.
