1, Wl-~i~aIAS~ the State of California under Chapter 4-?r Statutes
of 1964~ (4th Extra Session) has appropriated funds for allotment
by the Director of Finance to provide financial assistance to Local
.agencies defined ~erein as counties~ cities or cities and counties
for the purpose of defraying not to exceed one-half the cost of
preparing engineering field surveysr engineering or architectural
designsr and working and detailed drawings and specifications (here-
inafter called "Plans") required for postwar public works projects
described as "specific projects" in said Act~ and
2, ~i~RE&S, the CITY OF BAICERSFIELD, hereinafter designated as
"Local Agency"r desires to apply to the Director of Finance and/or
the Post War Public ~Vorks Review Boardr as the case may ber for an
allotment of the State's share of the estimated cost of preparing
the completed 'plans hereinafter mentioned and_ there has been prepared
and presented to this Legislative Body for consideration an applica-
tion for such purpose~ and
3, ~RE.AS~ Local ggency has provided'~ or will make available
upon approval of the aforementionedlapplicationr sufficient funds
to prepare the completed plans herein mentioned~
4, NOW~ TI=~REFORE~ BE IT RESOLVEDr that Local .Agency submit the
aforesaid application to the Director of Finance and/or the Post ~ar
Public Works Review Boardr as the case may ~er requesting allotment
of Twenty-four Hundred Sixty-five and 28/100 ($2~6~,28) Dollarsr being
not more than one-half the cost of preparing Said completed plansr
or for such amount as may be approved by the Director of Finance and/or
the Post War Public Works Review Board (said allotment to be used for
the purpose of defraying the cost of preoparing said completed plans
required)~ for a specific project to be undertaken by local agency
and described as CORPORATION Y,~D BUILDINGS~
~, BE iT FURTZ~ER RESOLVEDr that the estimated cost of preyaring

such plans is Forty-nine Hundred Thirty and ~6/100 ($~930o~o
~nd that Local ,Agency has made provision for paying one-half or more
of the cost of preparing such plans~
6, .BE IT F~RTHER RE~0LVEDr that for the purposes of this applica-

California~ be and he hereby is designated as the authorized agent
of Local Agency and is hereby authorized andsdirected to sign the
above-mentioned application on 'behalf of the Local Agency and submit
the same to the Director of Finance ~and/or the Post War Public Works
Review Board together with a certified statement of the estimated
cost of preparing such plans and such other information as may be
required~ and said authorized agent is further authorized and directed
as the representative of Local Agency~ to conduct all negotiations
and conclude all arrangements~ including submission to the Director
of Finance of applications for reimbursement~ which may be necessary
to secure reimbursement for the State'S share of the expenditures
made in preparing said completed plans,

I HEREBY CERTIB~Y that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield~
at a regular meeting thereof held. on the 13th day of November,
1945, by the following vote:
