WEERE,S, the Bakersfield and Kern Electric Eailway
Company has submitted to the City Council of the City of Bakers-
field its proposal for the inauguration as an integral part of
and coordinated with its present system of motor bus lines, a
new motor bus line to be kno~m as i~ayflower Bus Line, an extension
of its existing Alta Vista-La Cresta ~us Line, an extension of
its present existing 'Chester Avenue-Cali£ornia Avenue Tract Bus
Line, anda re-routing and extension of its present existing
0ildale South Chester avenue Bus Line~ all as more particularly
described in a Nap of Proposed Changes submitted to the said City
Council, and
~M~EREAS, .~t appears that said changes and extensions
are necessary and appropriate ~for' the 'public convenience of the
people of the City~of Bakersfield and territory contiguous thereto;
NOW, T~LEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council
of the City of Bakersfield is in favor of and approves the said
addition and extensions to'the said. bus'system of'the Bakersfield
and.Kern Electric. Railway Company and does hereby recommend favor-
able action thereon bythe Railroad Commission of the State of
California-.
