WHEREAS, a plan having been submitted to the Bakersfield
City Council for the re-routing of F Street in said City, which plan
included provisions for an underpass under the .atchison, Topeka & Santa
Fe Railroad Company's tracks on 15th Street, and
+wEREAS, said plan having been submitted to the Board of
Trustees of the Kern County Union High School District and to repre-
sentatives of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Company, and
said Board of Trustees of said iKern County Union High School District
having by resolution of said Board approved said plan and having agreed
to pay one-half of the engineering cost for the p~eparation of full
plans and specifications for such re-routing of ~" Street, said one-
half not to exceed ~9000.00, and
~.gHEREAS, said atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad Company
having made no objection to said plan excepting as to the width of
such underpass, accompanied by the suggestion of the opening o.f E Street
from Sixteenth Street south to the railroad company's right of way;
N0~, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL~ED, that the City Manager of
the City of Bakersfield, shall apply to the proper authority of the
State of California for allotment to the City of the share of the
State of California authorized to be paid in connection with such
projects by Chapter 47 of the .Act of the State Legislature adopted
at the Fourth Extra Session of the ~th Session of said Legislature.
