HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 11-44RESOLUTION NO. 11-44 WYEREAS, the City of Bakersfield, a municipal corporation, organized and existing under-the laws of the State of California, desires to make application and to enter into an agreement for the allocation of State aid for civilian defense purposes by the State Director of Finance, and V~IEREAS, said City desires to apply for the payment to it of $286.00, and WEREAS, there have heretofore been made available for expenditure by the City Council of th~ City of Bakersfield for civilian defense purposes, an amount equal to the amount sought to be allocated the State Director of Finance, and V~EREAS, no funds or moneys or payments have been made to the City of Bakersfield or set aside to be made by the State Treasury or by any agency which is a part of the executive department of the State of California; NOW, TEEFORE, IT IS HEREBY RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, that the City Manager, V. Van Riper, is hereby authorized, directed and designated as the representative of the City of Bakersfield, a municipal corporation, to sign and execute on behalf of said City, an application and agreement for allocation of State aid to local agencies for civilian defense purposes by the State Director of Finance, and in said application and agreement to apply for the payment to the City of Bakersfield, the sum of $286.00 and in particular to sign and execute a proposed form of agreement heretofore submitted by the State DirectQr of Finance and known and. designated as .Application No. 689. .......... o0o I EREBY CERTIH that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular meeting thereof held on the 2~th day of September, 1944, by the following vote: AYES: CAR{IA':(IS, NORR'.S, S~EMON, SMITH, VANDERLEI, VERCAIVIMEN, W:LUS NOES: _~ ...............................................
