: ~HEREAS~ in compliance with a ruling. of the Office of
Price-Administration~ it becomes desirable and necessary for the City
of Bakersfield to establish a ration bank account Fith a local bank~-
'i'~W~ T~i~EFO~ BE iT RE~0LV~D~ BY T~ COUI,~CIL OF T~ZE
CITY OF B~R~FiELD~ that a ration bank account or accom~ts as defined
in General Ration Order i'~o. 3~ be opened and maintained in the name
of the City of Bakersfield~ to be designkted'"Gasoline Account~
Street Department~ City of Dakersfield~'~ with the Anglo California
National Bank~ Bakersfield Branch~'~iich will act as an agent of
and under the direction and supervision of the Office of Price
Administration~ and shall be responsible only to the Office of Price
Administration; that the following officers or employees of the
City of, Bakersfield~ to-wit: D. Li. Farnsworth and W. R. Mercer~ or
either of them is/are hereby authorized on behalf of the City of
Bakersfield~ and in its name: To sign ration checks~ as defined in
said Order;to indorse ration checks or other ration evidences o~naed
or held by the'City of Bakersfield~ for deposit in said account; and
FURTHEti ~5OLVED~ that the Clerk of the City of BakerSfield
shal.1 certify to said Bank and the 'Office of Price Administration~
the names of such officers and employeesat present~ and shall from
time to time hereafter~"as changes in the personnel are made~ im-
mediately certify such changes to the bank and the Office of Price
~dministration~ and

Bakersfield Branch~ be and it hereby is authorized to receive and
honor all ration checks signed in accordance with the foregoing
resolution~ and such certificationby the Clerk of the City of Zakers-
field; and
FU ~E~ RE~OLVED, that the foregoing resolution shall
remain in full force and effect until written notice of its amendment
or rescission shall have been received by said Bank; and
FURTheR I~0L~D~ that.the Clerk of the City of Bakers-
field be, and he is hereby authorized and directed to certify to said
.angio California ~'Yational Bank,. l~akersfield' Branch, and ~o the Office
of Price ~dministration the foregoing resolution and that the provisions
thereof are in conformity with the Charter and Ordinances of the City
of Bakersfield.
I 3~RT~R CERTIFY that there is no provision in the
Charter or Ordinances of said City limiting the power of the Council
of the City of Bakersfield to pass the foregoing resolution and that
the same is in conformity with the provisions of said Charter and
Ordinance s.

City authorized to sign ration checks and indorse ration evidences:
