HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 8-43 RESOLUTION NO. 8~43 ~KEREAS, the work of removing the rails and repairing the streets under that certain contract of January 28, 1943, between Steel Recovery Corporation, successor to 'War ~iaterials, Inc.', and Wesl-ey F. Waldon, has.beenperformed and completed on all streets where the rails were 'exposed, and ~EEREAS, it is deemed advisable by all parties to the contract dated January 28, 1943, that the said contract be cancel- led as to the work on those streets where the rails are now covered, and V~TZEREAS, upon the written' request of the contractor, '.Vesley F. Waldon, dated Nay 6,'19~3, addressed to the Steel Recovery Corporation, said Steel 'Recovery Corporation made kno~7n its desire to cancel said agreement as the same pertains to all rails nosy covered; NOW, THEREFOP.~., BE ITRESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAY~SFIELD, that the cancellation of that part of the contrac~ of January 28, 1943, which relates to the removal of the rails On streets that have been.resurfaced and ~vhere the rails are now covered, to-wit: on 19th Street between F and Oak Streets and on Chester Avenue between 8th and 29th Streets, is hereby approved. BE IT FURTheR RESOLVED that 'the'provisions of Resolu' tion No. 66 of the City of Bakersfield as the same appl'ies to the Bakersfield & Kern Electric Railway Company, shall remain in full force and effect.
