A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECT-
ING THE CITY ENGINEER TO DISCONNECT
CERTAIN PRIVATE SEWER LINES FROM THE
OUTFALL .'MAIN SERVER SYSTEN OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, certain private sewer lines serving property
outside the City of Bakersfield have been connected. or permitted
to remain connected to the outfall main sewer system of the City
without permission, and
WHEREAS, in compliance with Ordinance No. 578 New Series,
notice has been given to the owners of said property that said
private sewer lines will be disconnected from the City's outfall
main sewer system unless agreements are entered into for the payment
of rental for said connections and service, and
WHEREAS, certain owners have failed and refused to enter
into said agreements with the City or pay said rental after thirty
days written notice as provided in said Ordinance;
NOW THEREFORE, BE tT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, that the City Engineer is hereby authorized and
directed to disconnect each private sewer line from the outfall
main sewer system of the City of Bakersfield in every case where
the owner of the property outside of the City which is being served,
has failed to enter into a written agreement with the City for the
payment of rentals for sewer service after thirty days written
notice as provided in Ordinance No. 578 New Series.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 15th day of March, 194B, by the
following vote:
AYES: CLEMENTS, MARMADUKE, NORRIS, SIEMON, SMITH, VANDERLEI, VERCAMMEN
