VfiTEREAS, the County Tax Collector of the County of Kern,
State of California, has given notice of sale of property deeded
to the State for delinquent taxes, said notice referring to the
property hereinafter more particu!srly described,
AND~:'iHEREAS, said notice recites that said County Tax
Collector was directed on the llth day of August, 1941, by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Kern, State of California,
and theretofore had received an authorization of the State Controller
dated August 18, 1941, to sell at public auction for cash in lawful
money of the United States, certain tax deeded property, which said
property is hereinafter more particularly described,
AND WHE_R~;AS, said notice recites that unless said property
is redeemed as provided by law, said. Tax Collector will, on the 3rd
day of October, 1941, at the hour of 10 o'clock A. M., in the Tax
Collector's Office in the Court House of the County of Kern~ in the
City of Bakersfield, sell said property for a stun not less than the
minimum price or prices set forth in such notice;
That said property referred to above and referred to in
said notice is more particularly described as an undivided one-half
(½) interest in that portion of Block 140, Godey Tract, lying
north of the Southern Pacific Railroad Company's right-of-way, in
the City of Bakersfield~ County of Kern, State of California,
ANDWHEREAS~ the City of Bakersfield., a municipal corpora-
tion, claims and has an interest in and to said property by reason
of the fact that certain tax liens and assessment liens have been
levied against said property~ which are due and payable to the City
of Bakersfield,
NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKEY~bFIELD, duly and regularly assembled at a regular session

of said Council, that it hereby invokes the provisions of Section
3695 of the Revenue an8 Taxation Code of the State of California~
and hereby protests and objects to the sale of the above described
real property by the T~x Collector of the County of Kern, State
of California;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that upon the passage of this
resolution and its due certification, the City Clerk and Ex-Officio
Clerk of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, is hereby directed
to serve and file with the Tax Collector of the County of Kern, and
with the Board of Supervisors of said County of Kern, one certified
copy of the foregoing Resolution.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield~ at a regular
