AN F~ERGENCY RESOLUTION ESTABLISHING AND
DET!~RMINING CORRECTION FACTOR TO DETERMINE
TRUE VALUE WITHIN THE CITY OF B~CERSFIELD.
WHEREAS, the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of
Bakersfield require the passage of an emergency resolution
establishing and determining correction factor to determine true
value within the City of Bakersfield,
AND WHEREAS, the Council of the City of Bakersfield
desires to use the taxation assessment rolls of said city as a
basis for computing the true value of lands defined in the "Special
Assessment Investigation, Limitation and Majority Protest Act of
1931", as amended,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
That the total assessed valuation for municipal purposes
of all taxable lands in the municipality as the same is shown on
the last equalized taxation assessment roll of said municipality
is $15, ~64,430.00.
And that the corresponding total assessed valuation of
said lands in said municipality for county purposes as the same
is shov;n on the last equalized taxation assessment roll of the
County of Kern, in which said City of Bakersfield is situated~ is
$10,380,160.O0.
That 1.~O shall represent said correction factor and
that said 1.~O is hereby determined to be the correction factor in
accordance with the provisions of said Act.
This resolution shall take effect from and after its
passage and approval.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing, Emergency Resolu-
tion was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakers-
field on the~~ay of June, 1940, by the following vote:
