WHEREAS, it appears that approximately seventy-nine (79)
separate pieces of property have been deeded to the City of Bakers-
field for delinquent taxes and public improvement assessments,
AND WHEREAS it is deemed advisable to take steps to get
this property back in private ownership in order that it may be
upon the tax rolls of the City of Bakersfield,
NOW, THELEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD, that the City Manager of the City of Bakersfield be
and he is hereby authorizedr empowered and directed to request the
Tax Collector of the County of Kern, State of California, to proceed
to sell, in accordance with Section B897 of the :~litical Code of
the State of California, those certain pieces cf property deeded
to the City of Bakersfiel.d for delinquent taxes and public improve-
ment assessments, in accordance with a list of same to be furnished
by the City Assessor.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the/..~
