Ayes: Noes: Abs en t: None WHEREAS, the Corps of Engineers of the United States Army; have been engaged in making investigations for a flood control pro- ject on the Kern River in California under authorization of Congress; AND WHEREAS, it is believed that a report on this project has been completed; AND WHEREAS, early consideration of this report by the Congress is of vital importance to the areas which are subject to flooding by this stream, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY TEE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, that the Chief of Engineers of the United States Army and the Honorable Harry H. Woodring, Secretary of War, be urged to submit such report to the Congress at the earliest possible date during the Third Session of the Seventy-sixth Congress; AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that copies of this resolution be forwarded to the Chief of Engineers of the United States Army and to the Secretary of War. o0o ...........
