~y~fHEREAS, the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, safety, health and welfare of the inhabitants of the
City of Bakersfield reouire tl~.e ~assa~e of an emergency resolution

tions and Contract for Contract No. S, Sewage Treatment Plant,
P.W.A. Docket No. Calif. 1892-F, to the extent of forty-one (~l)
calendar days additional time (beginning Sept. 21, 1989) as set
forth by a Resolution passed by the Council of the City of Bakers-
field on the 16th day of October' 1989.
ANDWHEREAS, the City of Bakersfield has made a request that
an extension of forty-one (41) additional calendar days (beginning
September 21, 1989) be granted to the contractor for the comple-
tion of said contract,
NOW, TPIEREFOP]E, BE IT RESOLI~D BY THE CO~rCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAtGRSFIELD, as follows:
That the City of Bakersfield hereby waives the provision for
liquidated dmmages.provided in said Contract for Contract No. S,
Sewage Treatment Plant, P.W.A. Docket Noo Calif. 1892-F, to the

extent of the additional forty-one (~1) calendar days ( eginning
September 21, 1989) requested for the completion of said contract.
This resolution shall t~e effect from and after its passage
and approval.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Resolution was
passed and a~opted by the Council of the City of B~ersfield at a
