WHEREAS, the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of
Bakersfield require the passage of an emergency resolution accepting
the installation of paving, curbs!and walks at Centra~ Fire Station~
identified as Public Works Administration Docket No. Calif. 2036-F,
under Contract Number 4 with 0pperman & Company, waiving the time
between contract completion date and the date of the adoption of
acceptance, and authorizing the City.Clerk of the City of Bakersfield
to sign a Notice of Completion and certify two copies 'of this Resolu-
tion of Acceptance,
AND WHEREAS, said Public Works Administration Project was
approved.and a contract let forthe installation of paving, curbs
and walks at Central Fire Station and further identified as Public
Works Administration Docket No. Calif. 20B6-F, Contract Number 4,
AND WHEREAS, said contract has been performed and said
Central Fire Station has been equipped with paving, curbs and walks
in accordance with the Plans Specifications, and approved Change
Orders, and to the satisfaction of the City Council of the City
of Bakersfield, California,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ORDERED that said
installation of paving, cnrbs and walks at Central Fire Station
be and it is hereby accepted as of September ]/ , 1939,
AND BE IT FORTHER RESOLVED, that the time between the
contract completion date and the date of the adoption of the accept-
ance be and the same is hereby waived, and no damages assessed, and
that the City Clerk of the City of Bakersfield be and he is hereby
authorized to sign a Notice of Completion and certify two copies of
the above Resolution of Acceptance.
This.resolution shall take effect from and after its passage
and approval.

I 'HEREBYCERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Resolution
was passed and adopted by the Council of, the City of BakerSfield at a
regular meeting thereof heldon the/~day of September, 1939, by
the following vote:
