HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 50-39 AN EMERGENCY RESOLUTION NO. 50-39 WHEREAS, the immediate preservation of the public peace, property, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of Bakersfield require the passage of-an emergency resolution estab- lishing the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in connection with the installing and assembling of Fire Alarm Equipment in Central Fire Station, in Bakersfield, California, under P. W~ A. Docket No. Calif. 2038-F, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERS?IELD, as follows: That it has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per diem wages in the locality of said City of Bakersfield for classes or types of work needed to execute contracts on Public Works in accordance with Section 17V0 of the Labor Code of the State of Calif- ornia, to be as follows: TRADE OR OCCUPATION Carpenters Laborers - building Electricians' Painters LEGAL HOLID~,Y PER HOUR PER DIEN AND 0VERTIE $ 1o29 ~9.00 Double Time .72 5.00 " " 1.43 10.00 n ,, 1.29 9.00 " " Legal holidays Double time for overtime and legal holidays. to be Washington's Birthday, Nemorial Day, Fourth of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas and New Year's Day. The foregoing schedule of per diem wages is based upon a working day of seven hours. The hourly wage rate prescribed hereinabove is the per diem rate divided by the aforementioned number of hours constituting a working day.
