NO. 27-39
BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield,
as follows:
That it has ascertained the general prevailing rate of per
diem wages in the locality of said City of Bakersfield for classes
or types of work needed to execute contracts on Public Works in ac-
cordsace with Section 1770 of the Labor Code of the State of Cali-
fornia, to be as follows:
TRADE OR OCCUPATION PER DIEM WAGE HOURLY WAGE RATE
Millwr ight $ 9. O0 $1.29
Mechanic 9.00 1.29
The rate for any employee not covered in the above schedule
shall be the general prevailing wage and shall not be less than
Seventy Two ($0.72) cents per hour.
Overtime work (except Watchmen; .sad Guards ) and work on the
following days shall be paid for at double the above rates: New
Year' s Day, Decoration Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Admission
Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day and Sundays.

I EKEBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Emergency Resolution
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at
a regular meeting thereof held on the Fifteenth day of May , 1989,
