AN DERGENCY RESOLUTION PROVIDING THAT THE A~(OUNTS TO HAVE
B~EN EXPENDED OF CERTAIN ITEI. iS LISTED ON CHANGE ORDER N0. 2
OF CONTRACT NO. S, BE RETURNED TO FUNDS AVAILABLE IN THE
CONSTRUCTION ACCOUNT OF DOCt~T N0. CALIF. 1892-F.
VfigEREAS, the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, safety and welfare-of the inhabitants of the City of
Bakersfield require the passage of sn Emergency Resolution provid-
ing that certain changes as shown on Change Order No. 2, Contract
No. S, be made in the construction account of P. W. A. Docket No.
Calif. 1892-F,
A~ND WKEREAS, certain changes in items in Contract No. 8,
Sewage Treatment Plant, P. W. A. Docket No. Calif. 1892-F, are in
the opinion of the City of Bakersfield both desireable and es-
sential,
AND V~HEREAS, a resolution setting forth such changes
is required by the regulations of the Federal Emergency Administra-
tion of Public Works,
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield, as follows:
1. That certain items listed as No. I to 6 on Change
Order No. 2, Contract No. S, totaling in cost the smount of Six
Hundred Seventy Seven Dollars and Forty Cents ($877.40), be pro-
vided for from funds available in the construction account of
Docket No. Calif. 1892-F, to be used for such purpose.
2. That certain items listed as Nos. 7 and 8, on Change
Order No. 2, Contract No. S, totsling in cost the amount of One
Thousand Nine Hundred Forty Dollars ($1,940.00), be returned to
the construction account of Docket No. Calif. 1892-F.
8. That the net amount to be returned to the construc-
tion account is One Thousand Two Hundred Sixty Two Dollars and
Sixty Cents ($1,282.60).
And Be It Further Resolved that the City of BsJ~ersfield
request, and hereby so requests the approval of the Federal Ad-
ministration of Public Works authority to make such expenditure
and return of funds for the items and purposes mentioned in said
Change Order No. 2, Contract No. 8, of P. W. A. Docket No. Calif.
1892-F.
This Resolution shall take effect from and after the
pass age and approval.
I hereby certify that the foregoing Emergency Resolution
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
on the ~~tday of April, 1989, at a regular meeting thereof by
the following vote:
