AN E~[ERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING R. H. HUBBARD,
BUILDING INSPECTOR, AND CHARLES H. BIGGAR, ARCHITECT,
TO FILE AN APPLICATION ~-VITH THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA THROUGH THE FEDERAL E~ZERGENCY ADMINISTRATION
OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR A GRANT TO AID IN FINANCING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF AND CO~PLETION OF CERTAIN ITEMS IN
CENTRAL FIRE STATION, BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, DOCKET
N0. CALIF. 2036-F, AND TO FURNISH SUCH INFOR~.~TION AS
THE GOVERN~.'NT IfAY REQUEST.
~EREAS, the immediate preservation of the public peace,
property, safety and welfare of the inhabitants of the City of
Bakersfield require the passage of an emergency resolution authOriz-
ing the Building Inspector to file an application to the United
States of America through the Federal Emergency Administration of
Public Works for a grant to aid in financing the construction of
and completion of certain items in Central Fire Station, Bakersfield,
California, Docket No. Calif. 2036-F, and designating R. H. Hubbard,
Building'Inspector, and Charles H. Biggar, Architect, to furnish such
information as the Government may request,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows:
SECTION 1.
That R. H. Hubbard, Building Inspector and Charles H.
Biggar, Architect, be and they are hereby authorized to execute and
file-an application on behalf of the City of Bakersfield, a municipal
corporation, to the United States of America, for a grant to aid in
financing the construction of and completion of certain items in
Central Fire Station, Bakersfield, California, Docket No. Calif.
2036-F.
SECTION 2.
That R. H. Hubbard, Building Inspector, and Charles H.
Biggar, Architect, be and they are hereby authorized and directed to
furnish such information as the United States of AmeriCa, through
the Federal Emergency Administration of Public Works may reasonably
request in connection with the application which is herein authorized
to be filed.

SECTION 3.
This resolution shall take effect from and after its
passage and approval.

I HEREBY CERTIFY thst the foregoing Emergency Resolution
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, at
a regular meeting thereof held on the 10th day of April, 19~9, by
the following vote:

Boden, Gist, Kaminski, McMillan, Smith,
Sollers, Wilson.
Noes: None
Absent: None

I, V. VAN RIPER, the duly appointed, qualified and
acting City Clerk and Ex-0fficio Clerk of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, do hereby certify that I have compared
the attached copy of an emergency resolution entitled:
"AN ENERGENCY RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING R. H. HUBBARD,
BUILDING INSPECTOR, AND CHARLES H. BIGGAR, ARCHITECT,
TO FILE AN APPLICATION WITH THE UNITED STATES OF
AMERICA THROUGH THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY ADMINISTRATION
OF PUBLIC WORKS FOR A GRANT TO AID IN FINANCING THE
CONSTRUCTION OF AND COI~PLETION OF CERTAIN ITEMS IN
CENTRAL FIRE STATION, BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA, DOCKET
N0. CALIF. 2036-F, AND TO FURNISH SUCH INFORMATION AS
THE GOVERNMENT MAY REQUEST."
with the original of such emergency resolution on file in my office
and that the same is a true and correct copy of such emergency resolu-
tion which was regularly adopted at a meeting of the Council of the
City of Bakersfield, duly held on the 10th day of April, 1939.
