· ~,[t~E?EAS, the immediate. preservation of the pffolic peace,
property, safety. and welfare of the.inhabitants of the City of Bakers-
field require the passage of an emergency resolution changing the
completion date for Contract"No. 3 of Docket No. Calif. 1892-F,
Sewage Works Improvement, Bakersfield,
AND ~Ei~AS the P.W.A. have requested that the completion
date of said contract be not later than July 22, 1939, and the
Contractor, Fred J. Early, Jr., has consented to such modification
of said contract,

CITfff. OF BAKERSZ~IELD, as follows:
That said Contract No. 3 of Docket No. Calif. 1892,F,
Sewage ~orks"Improvement, Bakersfields' heretofore executed by the
t.{ayor anh City Clerk of the City of Bakersfields be and the'same
is hereby modified to provide that the completion of, said work shall
not be later than July22, 1939.
This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage
and approval.
