BE IT RESOLVED ~Y THE COT~NCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAiG~,RSFIELD, as follows:
That J. R. Gist, Acting I~ayor of the City of Bakers-
field, and V. Van Riper, City Clerk of said City, be and they
are hereby authorized and instructed to execute an Agreement
by and between So~-~.thern Pacific Company, a corporation of the
State of Kentucl~J, and its Lessor, Southern Pacific Railroad
Company, a corporation, first party, and the City of Bakers field,
a lvCunicipal corporation of the State of California, second party,
for the construction of an inlproved crossing over the Southern
Pacific railway right-of-way at Union Avenue in the City of
Bakersfield.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
