WHEREAS, the County Tax Collector of the County of Kern,
intends to publish a notice of sale-of certain lands located in the
City of Bakersfield which have been deeded to the State of California
and the City of Bakersfield, designated and described therein as follows:
Lots ll to 16 inclusive in Block 19V, as shown
on a map of Bakersfield recorded January 12, 1889,
in Map Book l, Pages 15 and 16, Records of Kern
County, California;
WHEREAS, negotiations are now pending between the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Kern and the Council of the City of
Bakersfield for the purchase of said land under the provisions of
Section 389Vd of the Political Code of the State of California.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF BAKERSFIELD that it hereby invokes the provisions of Paragraph 1
of Section 3897 of the said Political Code of the State of California,
and hereby protests and objects to the sale of the above described
lands by the Tax Collector of Kern County.
Adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, this

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
