WEEAS, it is necessary and expedient for the City of Bakers-
field to employ a Consulting Sanitary Engineer in connection with the
work on the sewage disposal plant at the City Sewer Farm to consult
with the city officials with reference to said sewage disposal system
and incidental matters pertaining to the general health conditions in
the City of Bakersfield.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVEDBY THE CITY OF BA. KERSFIELD that
Clyde C. Kennedy be employed for a period of not to exceed six (8)
months, beginning June 1, 19S8, at the sum of two hundred dollars ($200)
per month, to act as Consulting Sanitary Engineer for the City of
Bakersfield,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that he be paid the necessary
expenses including traveling expenses, living expenses, office and
laboratory expenses not to exceed the sum of two hundred and fifty
dollars ($280.).

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield at the regular
meeting thereof held on the 8th day of August, 19S8, by the following
