Fitch passed away on July 2, 193V, after giving to the City of Bakersfield twenty-two years of con- tinuous unselfish and efficient service as Street Foreman and Equipment Operator, AND WHEREAS during all of this time he demonstrated a cheerful willingness to do more than his share in the unselfish Service of this City, AND WHEREAS it is the desire of this Council to commemorate the memory of William C. Fitch for his loyalty and for his long con- tinuedunselfish service to the City, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City of Bakersfield in regular meeting assembled on the 26th day of July, 193V, that the memory of William C. Fitch be commemorated in this resolution, and that the same be spread upon the minutes of the Council of the City of Bakersfield, and a copy of this resolution be sent to the bereaved members of his family.
