A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING
THE PAYMENT OF MONEY TO UNION PAVING
COMPANY UNDER STREET DISTRICT NUMBER
503.
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of the Improvement
Bond Act of 1915, the Street Superintendent of the City of
Bakersfield, California, did on the 13th day of July, 1925,
file with the City Clerk of said City a complete list of un-
paid assessments remainingunpaid upon the assessment for the
improvement of Twenty-Fourth Street, in said City, as per
Resolution of Intention No. 503, adopted by the Council of said
City on the 2Vth day of October, 1924, and included in said
list of unpaid assessments were Numbers 19, 20 and 21 cover-
ing Lots lO, ll and 12 in Block 150 as per Nap of the City of
Bakersfield, Kern County, California, filed November 25, 1898
in the office of the County Recorder of Kern County, California;
and
WHEREAS, subsequent to the filing on July 13, 1925, of
said list of unpaid assessments the owner of the lots of land
hereinabove referred to made certain payments to the City Treasurer
on account of said unpaid assessments aggregating not less than
Four Hundred Fifty-Seven and 65/100 ($457.65) Dollars; and
WHEREAS, in the partial reassessment recorded in the
office of the Superintendent of Streets on the 18th day of June,
1935, the lots of land hereinabove referred to were reassessed
for the total sum of Four Hundred Fifty Seven. and 65/100 ($457.65)
Dollars and said sum still remains unpaid,
NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield as follows:
That ~he City Treasurer of the City of Bakersfield be,
and he is, hereby authorized and directed to disburse and pay
to the Union Paving Co. the sum of Four Hundred Fifty Seven and
e5/loo ($45v.65) Dollars out ~-f moneys heretofore collected

and held by said City Treasurer on account of the lien created
by said assessments Numbers 19, 20 and 21, upon receipt from
the said Union Paving Co. of releases in full and authorizing
the Street Superintendent of the City of Bakersfield to cancel
and satisfy the lien of said assessments and the lien of said
re-assessment in full upon the records on file in his office,

passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
