WHEREAS, C. L. Stancliff purchased lots 10, 11 and 1B
in Block 150, as.per map of the City of Bakersfield, Kern County,
California, filed November 28, 1898 in the office of the County
Recorder of Kern County, California, after assessments 19, 20 and
B1 were levied thereon under Resolution of Intention No. 803, and
received a grant deed therefor,
AND WHEREAS at the time of said purchase not more than
two assessments were paid thereon aggregating less than $48V.65,
the amount of the re-assessment,
AND 'WHEREAS the said C. L. Stancliff has paid into the
City Treasux~J the sum of $1068.96, and has authorized the applica-
tion of $45V.65 to be paid on the re-assessment,
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the foregoing recitals
the Treasurer of the City of Bakersfield is hereby authorized and
directed to pay to said C. L. Stancliff the sum of $611.31, being
the difference between the original ~assessment paid in on said lots
and the re-assessment.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfiel~ at a regular
