WHEREAS, it is necessary and expedient forthe City of
Bakersfield to employ a Consulting Sanitary Engineer in connec-
tion with the work on the sewage disposal plant at the City Sewer
Farm to consult with the city officials with reference to said
sewage disposal system and incidental matters pertaining to the
general health conditions in the City of Bakersfield,
NOW, THEEE~'0RE, BE IT RESOLVED by the Council of the City
of Bakersfield that CLYDE C. KENNEDY be employed for a period of
five (5) months, beginning February l, 193V, at the sum of two
hundred ($200.00) dollars per month to act as Consulting Sanitary
Engineer for the City of Bakersfield;
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that he be paid the necessary
expenses including traveling expenses, living expenses, office
and labors. tory expenses, not to exceed five hundred ($500.00)
dollars.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
