A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING TEE PAYMENT OF MONEY
T0! UNION PAYING COMPANY UNDER
STREET DISTRICT NUMBER 803.
WHEREAS, Pursuant ~o ~the provisions 'of the I~PROVEMENT
BOND ACT of 1915, the Street ~uperintendent of the City of Bak-
ersfield, California, did on the 13th day of July, 1928, file
with the City Clerk of said City a complete list of unpaid assess-
merits remaining unpaid upon.lthe~aSsessment for the improvement of
Twenty-fourth Street, in said.~..~ity, as per Resolution of Inten-
tion 503, adopted by the Council of said City on the 2Vth day of
October, 1934, and included in said list of unpaid assessments
were assessments Numbers 12, 16, 17, 18, 30, 31, 33, 34, 95 and
96; and,
WHEREAS, subsequent to~' the filing on July 13, 1925, of
said list of unpaid assessments certain property owners or parties
in interest have 'paid to the City Treasurer and/or to the Superintend-
ent of Streets of the said City the fuR..' principal amount of said
~
assessments, Numbers 12, lIB, 17, 18, 30, 31, 33, 34, 95 and 96,
together with interest thereon, I aggregating.the total sum of
$5.039.87; and
WHEREAS, on er about :.the 1st day of April, 1936, the Street
Superintendent of said City disbursed and paid to the UNION PAVING
COMPANY, the owner and holder of the lien'of the above mentioned
asses~sment numbers, the sum ~of Two Hundred Thinly-Eight and 73/100
($238.73), theretofore collected by him, being a portion of the
lien created by the 'above mentioned Assessment No. 12, leaving a
balance in the Txmst Fund in the Office of the City Treasurer of
said City of the sum of $4,800.84;
AND, WHEREAS,_ the said City Treasurer from time to time
made deposits of certain of said monies Collected by him in the
banks. of the City of Bakersfield and the interest accrued to date
upon such bank deposits is the sum of $1,646.00,
NOW, THEREFORE, beIi~resolved by the Council of the
City of Bakers field as follows':
(~) That the City. Treasurer of the City of Bakersfield
be, and he is, hereby' authorized and directed to disburse and
pay to the UNION PAVING COMPANY the sum of $4,800.84, as represent-
ing all monies collected and held in trust for the benefit of said
Union Paving Company, by ~he =said City Treasurer, on account of
the lien created by AssessmUts Numbers 12, 18, 1V, 18, 50, 51, 55,
34, 98 and 96, upon receipt from the said UNION PAVING COMPANY of
releases in full and authorizing the Street Superintendent of the
City of Bakersfieldto cancel and satisfy the lien of said assessments
in full upon the record on file in his office.
(b) That the' Auditor of the City of Bakersfield be, and he
is, hereby authorized and ~directed to draw. his warrant in favor
of the UNION PAVING CONPANY for the sum of sixteen hundred and
forty-six dollars ($!e4e.oo), payable out of the general fund,
representing the mount of interest on bank deposits of the sum
of money hereinabove in Paragraph (a) specified, and the said
City Treasurer is h~reby authorized and directed to pay said warrant
at the same time that he makes the 'disbursement of said sum of
$4800.84. "

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City' of Bakersfield at a regular
meeting thereof held on the~~day of May, 1956, by the following
vote:
