WEREAS, application has been heretofore:~ made to the
Railroad Commission of the State of CalifOrnia for a crossing
'at. the, .. intersection of the Southern Pacific .Company"s ~pur
t..rack'0n R Street with the new-lo.cation of .the State..Ri~.way
.through ·the City of Bakersfield, -
.... AND WEEAS a hea~ing has been had uP.on said applica-
tion and the right to construct said cr0s'sing has been. 'g~snted
'on the '.~ondi'tion that the public crossing on James and 26th
Streets, oV'er said freight house-t'racks and identified as Cross-
.ing",No'.. B-311.89-C, be Vacated· and abolished,

(a) That it is the desire,[purpose and intention that
the existing public crossing of .James and 26th 'Streets over the

Crossing N0. B-311.89-C, be .closed to'.-pUblic travel, abandoned
and abolished;
(b) That the Clerk of this Council.-is hereby authorized
