BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
WHERE'AS, it is deemed advisable by the Council of the
City of Bakersfield that a certain portion of the State Highway
within the City Limits of the City of Bakersfield, hereinafter
described, be adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield
for the purpose of a public street,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Bakersfield hereby requests the State Highway Commission
of the State of California, to relinquish to the City of Bakers-
field, for the purpose of a public street, all that portion of
the State Highway within the limits of said City, described as
follows, to-wit:
A portion of State Highway right of way in Kern county,
State of California, in sections 5 and 6, T. 30 S., R. 28 E., M. D.
B. & M., and Sections 31 and 32, T. 29 S., R. 28 E., M. D. B. & M.,
between a point on the South line of BEdage Lane and Fourth Street,
City of Bakersfield, ~.known as Ker-4-C, Station 968.27.70 to Station
993+~2.19, as shown on State Highway Layout #97, for Ker-4-C.
The boundary lines of said State Highway right of way are
ll5 feet apart, being 57.5 feet on each side of the following des-
cribed centerline:
Beginning at the intersection of the South line of Brund-
age Lane, produced, with the centerline of said State Highway, Ker-4-
C, which point bears South 0°4iS0'' West, 30 feet from the Northeast
Comer of Section 6, T. 30 S., R. 28 E., M. D. B. & M.; thence from
said point of beginning North 0o4'30" East, 30 feet; thence North
0° 12' East 2474.49 feet to the South line produced, of Fourth
Street in the City of Bakersfield.
The side lines of the above described strip of land shall
be prolonged or shortened so as to begin in the said South line pro-
duced, of Brundage Lane, and end in t~e ~ aid South line produced,
of Fourth Street.
Containing 8.81 acres, more or less.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was
passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Baker sfield,
at a regular meeting thereof, held on the / ay of
