OF BAKERS~'~v.D TO THE UNITED
STATES GOVERNMENT ON THE NATION~L
DEFENSE DAY, ~JULY 4th, 1925.
NO. 8-25
V~EREAS, it has come to the attention of the
City Council of the Cityof Bakersfield that the National
~o~ernment declared that the 4th day of July, is the Na-
tional Defense Day of our Nation;-
AND ~EREAS, it has been suggested that the
City Council of the City of Bakersfield, pass a resolu-
tion expressing its willingness to aid and assist the
United States Government on the National Defense Day~as
above;
NOW THEEFORE, be it unanimously resolved by the
Council of the City of Bakersfield, that the City of Bak-
ersfield hereby lends its aid, support and assistance to
the United States Government on July 4th, 1928.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution
was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of
Bakersfield, on the 29th day of June, 1928, by the follow-
ing vote:
