A RESoLUTiON FAVORING A NEW DiVISioN
OF THE LuToR VEHICLE AND GASOLINE
TAX FUNDS,
WHEREAS, it appears that at a conference of city
officials held recently at Sacramento, resolutions were'adopted
favoring the initiation of a measure which would give the cities
one-quarter share of the motor vehicle and gasoline tax funds; ard
WHEREAS, it appears that the present dlvis~on of
these funds under the law is unfair to the municipalities,
NO!I THEREFORE.BE iT':RESOLVED, that we favor such a
proposed initiative measure and hereby agree to procure our
quota of the signatures necessary to get it on the ballot.
THefT a certified copy of this Resolution be sent
to the League of Calif6rnia Municipalities, Chancery Building,
San Francisco.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution
was oassed and adopted by the Council of ~he City of Bakersfield,
