RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT CONTAINED
IN DEED DATED ~J~NE 13th, 1923, ~EREIN
VIRGINIA S. BRUNDAGE~ FRANCES S. PACKARD,
LIDA S. REED, ELLA STONER and MAY STARK
FOX, CONVEY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE
CITY OF BAK,_RSFIELD FOR STREET PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY' OF BAKERSFiELD,
as follows:
~EREAS, Virginia S. Brundage, Frances S. Packard, Lida S.
Reed, Ella Stoner and May Stark Fox, have executed a Deed dated
June 13th, 1923, wherein said Virginia S. Brundage, Frances S.
PaEkard, Lida S. Reed, Ella Stoner and May Stark Fox grants cer-
tain lands to the City of Bakersfield, and has delivered said Deed
to the Council of the City of Bakersfie!d, with the request that
same be used for the purposes set forth in said Deed, said lands
beinF more particularly described as follows:
Beginnin~ at a point in the .northerly line of 19th Street
82.5 feet easterly from the easterly line of Block 226, as
said street and block are shown'on "Map of the City of Bakers-
field, Kern County, California", filed in the office of the
County Recorder of Kern County, California, November 25th,
1898; and running thence northerly on a line parallel with
said easterly line of Block 226 a distance of 264 feet to
the southerly line of 20th Street; thence westerly along the
southerly line of 20th Street a distance of 1V~5 feet; thence
southerly on a line parallel-with the easterly line of ~lock
226 a distance of 264 feet to the northerly line of 19th
Street; thence easterly along the northerly line of 19th
Street 17.05 feet to the point of beginning.
And ~&ereas said Virginia S. Brundage, Frances S. Packard, Lida S.
Reed, Ella Stoner and ~ay Stark Fox have requested that said land
so granted be dedicated for the use and purposes of a public street.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That this Council does
hereby accept said Grant for 'and in behalf of said City, and do
hereb~ declare that said lands as described in sai~ Deed be and
the same are hereby dedicated. a public street.

The Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized and
directed to cause said Deed to be filed for record in the Office
of the County l~ecorder of Kern County, California.
i HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoin~ Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the
