RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT CONTAINED
IN DEED DATED JUNE 15TH, 19~3', W!4EREIN
VIRGINIA S. BRUNDAGE, FRANCES S. PACKARD,
LIDA S. REED, ELLA STONER AND MAY STARK
FOX, CONVEY CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO
THE CITY OF BAKERSFI~ILD, FOR STREET PUR-
POSES. =
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COU~CIL OF THE CiTY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows: ·
WHEREAS, Virginia S. Brundage, Frances S. Packard., Lida
S. Reed, Ella Stoner and Ma~ Stark.Fox, have executed a Deed
dated June 13th, 1923, wherein said Virginia S. Brundage, Frances
S. Packard, Lida S. Reed, Ella Stoner and ~day Stark Fox grants
certain lands to the City of Bakersfield, and has delivered said
Deed to the Council of the City of Bakersfield, with the request
that same be used for the purposes set forth in said Deed, said
lands being more particularly described as follows:
Beginnin~ at a point in the northerly line of 20th Street
82.5 feet easterly from the easterly line of ~lock 213,
as said street and block are shown on "Map of the City of
Bakersfield, Kern County California", filed in the office
of the County Recorder ;of Kern County, California, November
25th, 1898, and running thence northerly on a line parallel
with said easterly line of Block 213 a distance of 264 feet;
thence easterly on a line parallel with ~aid northerly line
of 20th Street 592.95 feet to its intersectlop with. the
east line of the west half of the northeast quarter of
Section 30, Township 29 South, Range 28 East, M.D.B.& M.;
thence northerly alone said east line of the west'half of the
northeast quarter of section 30, a distance of 49.5 feet;
thence westerly on a line parallel with the northerly line
of 20th Street a distance of 660 feet; thence southerly on
a line parallel with the easterly line of nlock 213, afore-
said, a distance of 313.5 feet to the northerly line of 20th
Street; thence easterly a !on~ the northerly line of 20th
Street 67.05 feet to the point of beginning.
And Whereas said Virginia S.' Brunda.ge, Frances S. Packard, Lida S.
Reed, Ella Stoner and ~ay Stark Fox have requested that said land
so ~ranted be dedicated for the use and purposes of a public
street.
NOW tHEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: that this Council does
hereby accept said Grant for and in behalf of said City, mad
do hereby declare that said~ lands ~as--described in said Deed be and t
the same are hereby dedicated~ a public street.

The Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized and
directed to cause said Deed to be filed for reeord in the office
of the County Recorder of Kern County, California.
