RESOLUTION ACCEPTING GRANT C C~TAINED IN
DEED DATED March 2Vth, 1923, WHEREIN THE
KERN COUNTY LAND COP.~PANY, A CORPORATION
CONVEYS CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE
CITY OF BAKERSFIE._~.LD FOR ALLEY PURPOSES.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD,
as follows:
WHEREAS, the KERN COUNTY' LAND COMPANY, a corporation has
executed a Deed by F. Go DRUM, as President and FRED T. ELSEY, as
Secretary, respectively of said Kern County Land Company, dated
March 2Vth, 1923, wherein said corporation grants certain
lands to the City of Bakersfield, and has delivered said Deed to
the Council of the City of Bakersfield, with the request that same
be used for the purposes set forth in said Deed, said lands being
more'particularly described as follows:
Beginning at a point om the easterly line of Block No. 420,'
distant thereon 122 feet southerly from the northeast corner
of said Block, and running thence southerly along said east-
erly line of said Block No. 420, a distance of 20 feet; thence
at a right angle running westerly a distance of 610.80 feet,
more or less, to the easterly line of Myrtle Street; thence
at a right angle running'nbrtherly a distance of 20 feet, and
thence at a right angle running easterly a distance of 610.50
feet, more or less, to the point of beginning; aacording to
that certain Map dated March lO, 1904,'~entitled, .'Sales Map
of the Kern County Land Company showing subdivisions of its
additions to the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, California,"
which said Map was filed~ in the office of the' County Recorder
C
of said Kern ounty, on the 19th day of April, 1904.
And Whereas said corporation has requested.~ that said land so granted
be dedicated for the use and purposes of a public alley.
NOW THEREFOR, BE IT RESOLVED, That this COuncil does hereby
accept said Grant for and in behalf of said City, and do'hereby
declare that said lands as described~in said Deed be and the same
are hereby dedicated for a public alley.
The Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized and directed
to cause said Deed to be filed for record in the office of the County
Recorder of Kern County, CalifOrnia.

I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed
and adopted by the Council of ~he City of Bakersfield on the
day'of April, 19~3, by the following vote:
