A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE RF~YOR AND CITY
CLERK TO EXECUTE AN AGREE~IENT ON BEHALF OF
THE CITY OF BAKERSFIE.LD WITH THE KING LUM-~
BEN CO~iPANY, a corporation, FOR FURNISHING
MATERIALS FOR THE CONSTRUCTION OF A SWI!~MING
POOL AT THE EAST SIDE PARK IN THE CITY OF
BAKERSFIELD, CALIFORNIA.
as follows:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIEED,
That ~!~nereas~ the council of the City of Bakersfield
is desirous of securing material for the construction of a swimm-
ing pool at the East Side Park in the City of Bakersfield, said
material consisting of 500 tons of rock. more or less and 600
barrels of cement, more or less;
And it appears that the King Lumber Company, a cor-
poration, have regularly add duly submitted its bid there,fore in
accordance with the Notice inviting Sealed Proposals for the
furnishing o~ material as aforesaid, and it appearing that the
King Lumber Company, is the lowest responsible bidder for the
furnisk~ing of material as aforesaid;
NOv~j TBEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the
City of Bakersfield dOoes hereby authoriz. e and direct the ~ayor
and City Clerk of said City t~o execute an agreement on behalf. of
the City of Bakersfield with the King Lumber Company, a corporation
for the furnishing of the following material, to-wit: 500 ton of
rock, more or less and 800 barrels of cement, more or less;
And it is further ordered that the City Auditor
of said City is hereby authorized and directed to draw a
warrant in favor of the King Lumber Company in the amoont ..-'
recommended b~ the City Engir~eer~of saT'd'City to pay'for the
rock and cement actually used and furnished for the construction
of the swimming pool as aforesaid at the time specified in said
contract,
