HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES NO 18-22RESOLUTION NOo 18-22 RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEEDS EXECUTED BY ~IE KERN COUNTY LAND COMPANY, A CORPORATION, WHEREIN THE KERN COUNTY LAND COMPANY, A COR- PORATION, CONVEYS CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY TO THE CITY OF BAKERSFiELD FOR STREET PURPOSES. BE iT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAKERSFIELD, as follows: ~!EREAS, THE KERN COUNTY LAND C0t~iPANY , a corporation, have executed certain deeds dated the 22nd day of July, and the 2-5th day of July, respectively, with the request that the same be dedicated for the 'use and purpose of a public street, said property being more particularly described as follows, to-wit: Beginning at a point in the southerly line of Rlst Street where the same intersects the easterly boundary line of the Kern Island Canal, as said canal is shown and designated on that certain map entitled "Sales Nap of the Kern County Land Company showing Subdivisions of its Additions to the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California," and which said map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern County April 19, 1904, and running thence westerly on a direct extension of the southerly line of ~lst Street to its intersection with the westerly boundary line of said Kern island Canal; thence northerly along said westerly boundary line of the Kern Island Canal to the northerly line of 21st Street, if extended westerly; thence easterly along said extension of the northerly line of ~lst Street to the easterly boundary line of the Kern Island Canal aforesaid; thence southerly along said easterly boundary line of the Kern Island Canal to the southerly line of ~lst Street and the point of beginning. All in the City of Bakersfield, County of Kern, State of California. Beginning at a point in the southerly line of 21st Street, if extended easterly, where such line intersects the U. S. Segregation line, dividing the Swamp and 0verflo.w;sd \ -l- . . .'.. land from the Government land and running thence westerly along said southerly line of 21st Street, if extended, to the westerly line of the S.E. ¼ of the N.E. ¼ of Section 30, Township ~9 South, Range 28 East, ~i.D.B. & N., thence northerly along said westerly line of the S.E. ¼ of the N.E. ~ of Section a distance of 82.8 feet to the northerly line of Rlst Street, if extended easterly; thence easterly along said northerly line of 21st Street, if extended, to the U. S. Segregation line aforesaid; thence southerly along said U. S. Segregation line to the point of beginning. All in the City of Bakersfield and shown on that certain map entitled "Sales Nap of the ~ern County Land Company showing Subdivisions of its Additions to the City of Bakersfield, Kern County, California," and which said map was filed in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern County April 19, 1904. Subject, however, to all existing easements, servitudes and rights of way for canals, ditches and othe~ pur- poses. NO~ THEREFORE, be it Resolved: that this Council does hereby accept said deeds for and in behalf of said City, and do hereby declare that said lands as set out in said deeds they be an~/hereby are dedicated for a public street. The Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized and directed to cause said deeds to be filed for record in the office of the County Recorder, in the County of Kern, State of California. I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was passed and adopted by the Council of the City of Bakersfield, on the ~ ~ day of 19~, by the following vote~ Ayes: Carlisle C, riflq~h Rsss~ Hougham Nelson Robinson, Smith.
