· WHEREAS, 'public interest .requires the purchase. of certain
lands for Municipal Purposes; and
WHE~.S, the hereinafter 'described property is suitable
.and.. desireable .for. such purposes;
NOW TBEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE'COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF B~XERSFIELD, as followsi
.. That the City o.f Bakersfield. purchase for Municipal
'purpOses the foltowi.ng~ described property, to-wit:
~11 of Fractional BloCk One (1), All' of Block Two (2)
except lost Twenty-eight(28),. Twenty-nine (29), Thirty (30), Thirty-
one (31) and Thirty-two (32) and all of BlOck Twelve in .the Bernard
Addition to Kern, now in the City'of Bakersfield., acco'rdir~ to the
~Iap of said Addition filed in the. County Recorders office of'said
Kern County, on June 12th, 1893.
That the above described property be purchased and that
the City Auditor be and he is hereby authorized and directed to '
accept and. pl'ace "on file for .record *in, the.. Office Of the Recorder of
Kern' co,unty,. california, a deed' to said. pr0per~; duly executed by
Edith ~I.' Bernard, deeding to the City of Bakersfield.,. a Municipal uor-
.potation, the above described property.. The City Auditor is further
'$,uthorized' and directed to draw a warrent payable to Edith M. Bernard
in the sum of Eight thousand Two hundred dollars ($8,200.00) in full
payment for said above described property, and. deliver same to Edith
N. Bernard, upon"the deliver~ to him of a certificate of title
showing the title to said property in Said City of B'akersfield, free
and. clear of all ~ncumbrances.
