N0..'9-21 RESOLUTION TRANSFERING THE MAINTENANCE AND OPERATION OF "THE CITY FREE AUTO CAMP 8ROUND" FROM THE CITY 0F BAKERSFIELD'T0 THE'BAKERSFIELD CIVIC COMMERCIAL'ASSOCIATION. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEERSFIELD, as follows: WHEREAS, the City of ~akersfield is now operating and main- taining a certain camp-ground' known as "The City Free Auto Camp Ground" situate in the City of Bakersfield upon Certain' lots or parcels of land held under a lease by the City of' Bakersfield from the Kern County Land Company,. which said camp g~ound is particularly described as follows: .. ' Lots'One, Two, Three, Four, Five, Sixteen,-'Seventeen, Eighteen, ·Nineteen, and Twenty, in Block Six Hundred Ei~gteen~ all as shown on 'the map of the city of Bakers- C R field fried w't' the ounty ec~rder of-Kern County, Nov~n~er 2·5, 1~9~. · ' · .. AND V~EREAS, the Bakersfield Civic Conmercial Association has proposed to the ~ity Council of the City of Bakersfield. that the above described camp ground be turned over by the City to the said Association for the purpose of being maintained and operated by the said Association, N0W THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED,. that the City Council of the City of Bakersfield does. hereby~ authorize and permit .the Bakersfield Civic Commercial kssociation to assume full charge and control of said camp ground hereinabove particularly described, with the express understanding however that all expenses incident to the maintenance, operation-and improvement of said camp ground shall be borneby said As'soc iat ion ,. --.. That the Bakersfield CiVic.' Commercial 'ASsociation may do any and. all. things in connection with the maintenance and operation of said-~amp ground. which in its opinion alFe necessary to bring -said~-camp ground-up to date;~ may-adopt~ and enforce its_own rules and- regulations governing the operation and. maintenance of said camp -!- so far as said. rules and regulations do not Conflict with the · Ordinances. of the City of Bakersfield or the General Laws of the' 8tats of California, may adopt and enforce a fee 'for the. priyelege of camping in said grounds, end may appropiate'the fees· so obtained its own use and benefit. That in the event an attendant is provided by-said Associa- tion to take charge of and manage said. camp'ground, said attendant will be appointed a police Officer, said' officer shall at all times be under. the direction and control of the Chief of Police of the City of Bakersfield. IT IS EXPRESSLY UNDERSTOOD that-the lease heretofore.. executed by the Kern County Land Company '-to the City of ~akersfield and covering the above. described lots or parcels of l'and is not transferred by this· Resolution to said AsSociation. That the City of'Bakersfield+ reserves-the' right at all times to revoke the privelege hereby granted. I HEREBY CERTIFY ~hat the foreg~oing Resolution was passed. and. adopted by the.
