.B~j(ERSFIEDD UPON THE WRITTEN ORDER OF THE CHIEF .OF POLICE
AFTER SUCH CLAI~ES .'.~,AVE BEEN ~PPROVED BY TiqE Ci'i~f ~P].4AGER.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BPXERSFI'ELD,
as follows:
THAT ~.~EREAS, there are now-in' the City of Bakersfield
many unemployed men,
.~md ~nereas, it is deemed expedient to afford relief of
said. unemployment. by employing those who desire to work.upon temporary
city work, ~nd[wnereas, to afford the necessary relief i~ is essential
that Sa'id men so employed. be paid frequently.
NOW THEREFORE BE ,IT RESOLVED that the Auditor of the City
of Bakersfield is hereby authorized m3d instructed, to. draw.his warrant
upon the treasurer of the City of Bakersfield in payment of claims of
wages due from said City to temporary employees employed upon am :hourly
or daily rate of-wage. Said. warrant shall be drawn upon the order
of the Chief of Police of theCity of Bakersfield after the approval
of said wage claim 'by the City Manager of said City. :
I HEREBY certify that the foregoing Resolution w~s passed
and adopted.by the coanCil of the ~ity'of Bakersfield, on the/~(day
