BE IT .RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF B~ji.FlqSFIELD,
as follows:
WHEREAS public interest and necessity require the ac-
quisition of the hereinafter described lsnd and real property for the
purpose of establishing and maintaining a pubiic park and playground in
the City of Bakersfield.
NOW THEREFOR. BE IT RESOLVED THAT the Council of the City
of Bakersfield hereby d~inds and. determines-that public interest and.
necessity require the acquisition. for the purpose of establishing and
maintaining a public park and playground. of the following described
land 'and real property situated in the City of Bakersfield. County of
Kern. State of California. and more particularly described as follows:
All of that portion of-Block .Tw6 hundred sixteen (216)
in the city of Bsdiersfi~ld, County of Kern, State of California,.
-as shown u on the mad thereof recorded_in the office of the County
Recorder o9 said Comfit in Book One (I) of Maps at p_sge thirteen
{t3), lyi.ng' south of tee Drolo_~ation of the southerly line of the
alley in the said block a~d. between the United States S~egre ation
Line~and the westerly boundary line of-the Kern Island Csni~.
And be it furt?,er resolved that the City Attorney of the
City of Bakersfield is hereby instructed to commence proceedings in the
Superior Court of the County of Kern. State of California. for the
purpose of conder. ming said land to said use and. purpose.
I HEREBY CERTIFY THAT-the foregoing Resolution was passed
