S-lS RESOLUTION ACCEPTING DEED TO CERTAIN L~ID FOR MUNICIPAL PURPOSES AND AUTHORIZING THE CITY AUDITOR TO PLACE SA~E ON FILE AND TO DRAW A WARRANT IN PAtq~ENT OF SAME. WHEREAS, public interest requires the purchase of certain lands for Municipal purposes; and WHEREAS, the hereinafter described property is suitable and desirable for such purposes; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BEERSFIELD, as follows: That the .City of Bakersfield purchase for Municipal purposes, .the following described property, to-wit: All of Lot Two (2) of the Weill-Jastro Colony, in the County of Kern, State of California, according to the Revised Nap of ss~d tract filed in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern County on December 10. 1894, EXCEPTING there. from a strip of land 200 feet in width, along the westerly side of said Lot 2, as conveyed by Henry A. Jastro, et al to Southern Pacific Railroad Company, by deed dated February 2, 1903, and recorded in the office of the County Recorder of said Kern County on March 5, 1903, in Book 141 of Deeds, at page 364, containing 9.33 acres, more or less. That the above described property be purchased and that the City Auditor be and. he is hereby authorized and directed to accept and place on file for record in the office of the Recorder of Kern County, California, a Deed to said property, duly executed by Henry A. Jastro. Alphonse Weill and Henrietta Weill, deeding to the City of Bakersfield, a Municipal Corporation, the above described. property. The City Auditor is further authorized and directed to draw a.i~warrant payable to Henry A. Jastro and Alphonse Weill in the sum of Eight Hundred Dollars ($800.00) in full payment for said above described property, and deliver ~ame~.to Henry A. Jastro and Alphonse Weill, upon the de- livery to him of a certificate of title showing the-title to said prop- erty in said City of Bakersfield, free and clear of all encumbranees except taxes for the year of 1918 and 1919.
