RESOLUTION ACCEPTING.DEED TO LAND
TO BE USED AS A PUBLIC HIG~IAY AND DEDI-
CATING SA~ FOR A PUBLIC STREET AND HIGH-
WAY.
BE IT .RI~SOLVED-'BY THE COUNCiIL OF THE CITY OF B~k~ERSFIELD, as
follows:' -
WHEREAS, the BRANDT INVESTMENT CO~.~PANY has executed a Deed signed
by Wo E o LUNYDERW00D, as' Vice-President, and GEORGE HAY, as Secretary, re-
spectively, of said. BRANDT INVESTMENT COMPANY, covering its ownership in
certain lands in East Bakersfield, and has delivered seine to the Council
of the City of Bakersfield, with the request that the\ same be used for
the purposes set forth in said Deed, to-wit: a~public- Street, said strip
of land being described as follows:
'A strip of land thirty~ (30) feet wide along the Eastern side of
a portion of' the So.atheast quarter of Section Twenty-eight (28), 'Township
Twenty-nine' (29) South, of Range .Twenty-~ight (28) East, Mount Dia~lo
Base and Meridian, for a public highway and more ~articularly described
as follows:. ',
Beginning' at the Southeast c6rner of Section 28, Twp. 29 S.
R. 28 E o running thence North to the point of intersection With the South
line of the paved County highway, thence westerly thirty feet along the
Southerly line of said paved highway, thence at right angles south to a
point thirty feet west of the Southeast corner of said Section 28, thence
Easterly thirty feet to the point of-beginning. EXCEPT such portion of
the above described tract as is covered.by the right of way of the Sunset
Railroad Company°
NOW, THEP~FOPX, BE tT RESOLVED:' That this Council does hereby
accept said Deed for and in behalf of said City, and do hereby declare.
that said lands as described in said Deed, be and the same are.hereby

The Clerk of this Council is hereby authorized and directed to

cause said Deed to be filed for record. in the office of the County
Recorder of Kern County,' California°
I hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was passed and
-adopted, by ,the Council of the City of Bakersfield on the 28th day 'of
january, 1918, by the following vote:
